Children come to Aarti when 
They are found during our visits to the villages, or we receive information from the village headman or a concerned adult.
The district administration or the police inform us

A social investigation is conducted to assess the family circumstances  before enrolling the child in this program.

Can the children living outside Kadapa join this program? If not, what is the support provided for these children?

This program is presently open to children whose parents live in Kadapa or nearby areas. Keeping in mind the difficulty in bringing  children to school using school buses or other means, children  living with their parent/s outside Kadapa are provided with scholarships to continue their education.

The general progress of a child is monitored through regular academic assessments and health checks.

How are these children brought to school?

These children are brought to school in the school buses or designated auto rickshaws.

How do you ensure that the child attends the school regularly?

Whenever a child is absent for more than 2 days the  Principal or the class teacher  calls the parents to enquire about the child’s welfare. This process  lets the parent and the teacher know if the child is being absent from the school with/without the parent’s knowledge.

Is there a process in the school to let the parents know about the overall progress of the child?

Regular parent-teacher  meetings are conducted and one to one interaction with the parents ensures that they are aware of their child’s  progress.

Is there any career guidance  process for these children after they complete their schooling?

The parents and the children attend a career guidance session organized by the school, and the students’ future careers are discussed with them keeping  in mind their capabilities. Further support is extended to these students for continuing their academic studies or taking up vocational training.
